Burnout is a 2001 Racing, Single and Multiplayer video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It is the first title in the series of Burnout and features top crashes gameplay mechanics. Championship Mode is the primary mode in the game, offering a selection of events with three different races in each. To get into the world, the player needs to select his vehicle from many and choose a course where he can compete against rival drivers. The primary objective of the player is to eliminate all rival drivers from the events or cross the finish line first before his opponent to win the race. As the player win the race, the game rewards him with experience points that he can use to unlock further vehicles and features in the match. Time Attack, Single Race, and 2-Player are other modes in the game. In Time Attack mode, the player has to complete the lap within a certain amount of time.
