Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance II is an Action Role-playing, Hack-and-Slash, Single-player and Multiplayer video game created by Black Isle Studios and published by Interplay Entertainment for PlayStation 2. The game is the sequel to Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance released in the year 2001, and it takes place in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting found in D&D. However, the gameplay follows the rules of Dungeons and Dragons Third Edition released in the year 2000. The game serves as the direct sequel to the previous title, and it comes with a story revolving around five adventurers who are struggling to rescue the Baldur’s Date from an evolving evil and his dark forces. The player finds himself in the 3D environment where he can control the rotatable camera. In the start, the statistics of the chosen character is present, with the player capable of selecting from one of five character races or classes combinations such as a human Barbarian, a Drow Monk, and more. The player can change the appearance of his character and statistics through gaining experience points from taking down enemies.
