The game serves as an installment in the series of Backyard video games, offering thirteen kid-versions of professional and the backyard kids together. In the game, the player needs to create his team of eight players and select from one of ten MLS teams. Usually, the player has a choice of selecting one of two modes such as Season and Standard Exhibition. There are four new fields available, as well as four new power-ups to boost up the player’s power, and an entirely new voice cast. After creating a team, the main objective of the player is to play against a team of eight players and lead his team to victory by making as many goals as possible within the time limit. The game is played from a top-down perspective and can control each player individually. Backyard Soccer 2004 includes exciting features such as Two Modes, Four new Power-ups, new Voice Cast, etc.

The game focuses on American Football sports and introduces licensed teams, players, stadiums, and clubs. It serves as the successor to NCAA Football in the series of NCAA Football video games. The game introduces a set of improvements and enhancements that were implemented in NCAA Football 13. There are twenty new quarterback dropbacks and the game features over twenty-five pass trajectory zones. In the start, the player needs to choose his team from available and jump into the chosen stadium along with the opposing team for trophy and the prize. The customization mode will allow the player to modify the team players according to his style and then lead in the stadium to victory. In this mode, three new teams of NCAA were included such as Texa-San Antonio, Massachusetts, and Texas State. While playing the game, the player can perform some actions to make a goal and take advantage of his opposing team. At the end of each match, the team with the best points will win the match and rewards with trophy and prizes.
