Attack on Titan 2 is an Action, Adventure, Anime, RPG, Co-op, Horror, Hack n Slash, Single-player, and Multiplayer video game offered by Koei Tecmo Games Co, Ltd. It serves as the sequel of Attack on Titan and provides the same gameplay with some advanced features. During the gameplay, the player takes the role of a protagonist named Eren and needs to rescue the planet by facing a large number of Titans.

The player can fly in the sky to face giant titans in the playfield. The game offers more attacks to take charge of the titans, such as Sneak attacks and drive attacks. The player can select a character from more than thirty characters having different abilities and moves with a customization option. More than 90 chapters are available for the player, and each of the chapters contains several challenges to face.

The multiplayer mode allows the player to play with friends and can communicate with other players via an online system. This time, Titans have come with more power and dangerous moves to invade the player, but the player can deceive Titans by attacking from multi-directions on the battlefield as they equip the ability to fly in the skies.

While exploring the world, the player views the environment from a third-person perspective.
