The game acts as the sequel to Army of Two video game, and it mainly revolves around two-player co-op play and employs a cover a system. It comes with Elliot Salem and Tyson Rios, the two main protagonists from the previous title, as partners who, with their controller named Alice Murray, must battle against enemies to survive and fend off evil forces that have threatened Shanghai. Updates and weapons are available, and the player can use them when needed to take down foes.
