Alter Ego is an online Virtual World (Tree Based) Action-Adventure and RPG (Role Playing Game) and Community based video game developed and published by Activision back in 1986. The game was a super hit back in the day and kept on gaining the popularity until the late 90s. Alter Ego was available to play on Commodore 64, Apple II and Apple Macintosh and it provided with a lot of fun and Action-Adventure filled hours of gaming. A browser based version of the game is still available that allows the players to craft their own identity by a text based game-play. The game basically is based on a question and answer interface and tree based community and dating mechanics and allows the players to put on a trial, their best Intellect, Social, Creative, and crafting skills. Alter Ego represents player’s personality and covers the events and happenings from his/her infancy to the old age and lets the players write their own fate by simple question and answer interface.
